Our Sheep
We have been rearing sheep for over 10 years now. It all began when a dear neighbour, Pat Andrews, a retired farmer, told me the thing he missed most about farming was the lambs, We bought a couple of pedigree Hampshire Down sheep to start and now have a small flock of mixed ewes. Pat tought me all I know about sheep and lambing and for that I will be forever indebted to him. Pat passed away in 2021 and I always think about him particularly at lambing time.

Sarah - our Suffolk ewe - had trouble giving birth as the legs had not come forward meaning that the head and shoulders were stuck. However I managed to locate one leg and deliver the lamb successfully.

As at 29th January we have four healthy lambs - three ewe lambs and one ram lamb - all doing well despite the cold and wet weather.
